Resources can be renewable or non- renewable.
Renewable Resources:
These are the resources that can be used again and again.
It is inexhaustible.
Example- sun and wind.
Forests, agricultural crops, grasses, wild and domestic animals
are examples of such living resources. These can be
reproduced under favourable conditions.
Non- Renewable Resources:
These are the resources that will eventually deplete. They
cannot be used forever, because they cannot be replaced.
It is exhaustible.
Example- Fossil fuels like coal, petroleum and natural gas.
Use of Natural Resources:
We use milk which comes from cows.
We use crops and vegetables.
Some natural resources like fossil fuels need to be refined
before being used. Fossil fuels are refined to obtain petrol,
kerosene and diesel. Even minerals need to separated from
their ore before they can be used.
