                                                  LN – Habitat of plants

Learning Objective – Students will be able to identify different plant habitats.
They can describe the adaptations that plants have made to survive in those
               habitats.

               Plants in different habitats

 Desert habitat – cactus, babool tree

 Aquatic habitat – Lotus, Duckweed, water hyacinth
 Forest habitat – Oak tree

 Polar habitat – Antarctic hairgrass

               Adaptations of plants -

                               Desert Plants Aquatic Plants

               1. These plants grow in desert. 1. These plants grow in water.

               2. They do not need much water to 2. They need more water to grow.
               grow.
                                                               3. The stem is soft, hollow and have air

               3. They have thick and fleshy stems. spaces.

               4. Leaves are absent or reduced to 4. Leaves have a waxy coating to
spine or thorns. prevent them from rotting.

Learning Outcome - Students learnt about different plant habitats.
They can describe the adaptations that plants have made to survive in those
               habitats.
