LN - LIGHT TRAVELS IN STRAIGHT LINE
Learning Objective: Students will investigate and learn that light travels in
straight line.
Light always travels in a straight line.
We can see this when a torch shines in the dark — the beam looks straight.
We can see this when the Sun shines during the day — its rays appear to travel
in straight lines.
When an object blocks the light, a shadow is
formed.
This shows that light does not bend around the
object.
It moves in a straight path unless it meets an obstacle, reflects, or passes into
another material.
