                                                  LN- Character and Plot


                Lesson Objective:
               Students will be able to identify the main characters and describe the plot (beginning, middle,
               and end) of a story.


                 Learning Objective:
               By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:


                     Name the main characters in a story.
                     Retell the plot in their own words using the structure: beginning, middle, and end.

                 Short Activity:


                   1.  Read a short story aloud to the class (e.g., “The Lion and the Mouse”).
                   2.  After reading, ask students:
                          o  Who are the main characters?
                          o  What happened at the beginning, middle, and end?
                   3.  Then have students draw a simple comic strip showing the plot in 3 parts: Beginning
                       – Middle – End.


                 Key Vocabulary:

                     Character: A person or animal in a story.
                     Plot: What happens in a story.
                     Beginning, Middle, End: The parts of a story's structure.
