                                                Topic: Elements of a story

               Objective
               • Students will understand the key elements of a story and be able to identify and use them correctly.
               Introduction
               • Introduce the concept of story elements.
               • Explain that every story is made up of several key parts that help organize the story and make it
               interesting.

               Examples and Discussion
               • Provide examples of the main elements:
 Characters (who the story is about)

 Setting (where and when the story takes place)

 Plot (what happens in the story)

 Conflict (the main problem or struggle)
 Resolution (how the problem is solved)
                       • Discuss each element with examples from familiar stories (e.g., fairy tales, fables, or popular
                       movies).
                       • Ask students to name their favorite stories and identify the elements.

               Activities
               • Story map activity: Students will fill in a story map with the elements from a short story they read or
               listened to.
               Conclusion
               • Review the key elements of a story and how they work together.
               • Encourage students to pay attention to these elements when reading and to include them when
               writing their own stories.
