                                                      LN- Playscript

               Lesson Objective:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify the key features of a playscript
(characters, setting, dialogue, and stage directions).

                 Learning Objective:
Students will understand the structure of a simple playscript and demonstrate comprehension
by reading aloud and acting out a short scene.

                 Key Vocabulary:

                    Characters
                    Dialogue
                    Stage directions
                    Scene
                    Script

                 Materials Needed:

                    Whiteboard/markers
                    Sample short playscript
 Name tags or role cards for characters

                 Short Activity:
               “Act It Out!”

                   1. Divide the class into small groups of 3–4.
                   2. Give each group a very short playscript with 2–3 characters (example: a 1-page scene
                       where friends plan a picnic).
                   3. Each student takes a role and reads their part aloud, paying attention to stage
                       directions.
                   4. Groups perform their scenes for the class.

                 Wrap-Up Discussion:
Ask students: “What made reading a playscript different from a story?”
Reinforce key parts: no narrator, character names before dialogue, and stage directions.
