                                                  LN1- Dissolving

Learning Objective: Children will learn about the things those are soluble
               and insoluble in liquid.

Explanation: When a solid dissolve in a transparent liquid the liquid
stays transparent but might change colour.

The thing that dissolves in water is known as soluble. Sugar and salt
are examples of soluble substances. Solid that does not dissolve in
liquid are called insoluble. Sand and flour are examples of insoluble
               substances.

               Activity time:

                   • First the teacher will conduct an activity of preparing lemonade
                       with the children.

                   • The whole class will observe the process of lemonade.
                   • The teacher explains that when she added lemon juice and sugar
to the water it completely mixes with the water.

                   • The teacher then repeats the experiment by dissolving sand and
                       pebbles in the water.

                   • Then the whole class will observe the process.
                   • The teacher explains then when she added sand and pebbles to
the water, it did not mix.

                   • Students will get involve and observe the whole activity and record

the discovery of soluble and insoluble substances.
