LN- Writing a legend
Traditional stories are old stories passed down
from one generation to the next, usually by word of
mouth.
These stories often come from different cultures
around the world and can be about magical
creatures, brave heroes, or important lessons.
Purpose:
• Cultural Identity: They help communities preserve their
history, beliefs, and traditions.
• Moral Lessons: Often teach important life lessons or ethics.
• Entertainment: Serve to entertain and engage audiences,
especially through oral storytelling traditions.
Types of Traditional Stories
1. Myths:
o Myths are stories involving gods, deities, and
supernatural events that explain natural phenomena or
the origins of the world.
o Example: In Greek mythology, the story of
Persephone explains the changing seasons.
