Topic- Months of a year.
Learning Objective:
Children will be able to:
● Write the names of the months of the year.
Discussion:
● Asking the students how many months are there in a year
and what they are.
● Asking them how many days are there in a month.
● Explaining them which months have 30 days and which
months have 31 days with a rhyme.
“30 days are September,
April, June and November!
All the rest are 31 except February alone.”
● February has 28 days but in every 4 years it used to have
29 days and is called a leap year.
● Displaying the flash cards of the months on the floor.
● Asking them to pick up the month in which their birthday
falls.
Questions(oral):
● How many months are there in a year?
● Which month comes after November?
● Which month comes before February?
