Topic: ‘ar’ sound.

Learning Objective:

Children will be able to

 Comprehend and identify words having ‘ar’ sound.
 Read words having ‘ar’ sound.

 Communicate verbally using parts of speech.
 Demonstrate active and attentive listening.
 Able to frame and write meaningful sentences.

Discussion:

 Show a jolly phonics video with the song.

 Show pictures of ‘ar’ sound words.
 All the ‘ar’ sound words.
 When ‘a’ and ‘r’ come together it makes ‘ar’ sound.

 Action for ‘ar’ is “open your mouth wide and touch your
throat as if you are having a sore throat, and say ‘ar’’.

 We can only blend some of the words.
 Sound and action of ‘ar’ sound words.

 Count the number of sounds with the help of phoneme
fingers.

 Arm blending/building.
