Topic: Recapitulation of ’this’, ‘that’, ‘these’ and ‘those’.
Learning Objective:
Children will be able to
● Know the uses of this/that/these/those appropriately in a
sentence.
● Communicate verbally using parts of speech.
● Demonstrate active and attentive listening.
● Able to frame and write meaningful sentences.
Discussion:
● ‘This’, ‘that’, ‘these’ and ‘those’ are sight words.
● We cannot blend these words, we can only memorize it.
● ‘This’ and ‘that’ are singular, used for only one thing.
● ‘These’ and ‘those’ are plural, used for more than one
object.
● We use ‘this’ for one object that is near us.
Ex-This is my hand (show one hand).
● We use ‘that’ for one object that is far from us.
Ex-That is a photo frame (show a photo frame that is
hanging high on the wall).
