                  Topic: ‘ck’ sound

                  Learning Objective:


                  Children will be able to



                      Identify and read words ending with the ‘ck’ sound.
                      Learn new words, use them in verbal communication and frame

                        sentences.
                  Discussion:





                      ●  ‘ck’ is a consonant diagraph which when comes together

                         makes one sound.

                      ●  It’s a spelling rule.
                      ●  When the ‘k’ sound is at the end of a word, it is spelled

                         with either the letter ‘k’ or letters ‘ck’.

                      ●  When the ‘k’ sound is preceded by a short vowel it is

                         spelled with ’ck’.

                      ●  Blend the word ‘rock’ by showing the picture.


                      ●  Blend the word pack and say whether the end letters will

                         be ‘k’ or ‘ck’.


                      ●  What do you wear on your face to hide it in a party?
