Topic: Uses of ‘this’ and ‘that’.
Learning Objective:
Children will be able to
● Know the uses of this/that appropriately in a sentence.
● Communicate verbally using parts of speech.
● Demonstrate active and attentive listening.
● Able to frame and write meaningful sentences.
Discussion:
● This and that are sight words.
● We cannot blend these words, we can only memorize it.
● ‘This’ is addressed to one object when it is closer to you.
● ‘That’ is addressed to one object which is far from us.
● Keep one ball near you and say ‘This is a ball’.
● Keep one ball far from you and say ‘That is a ball’.
● Keep one chair near you and say ‘This is a chair.’
● Keep one chair far from you and say ‘That is a chair’.
