SUB-TOPIC- Parts of a fish
LEARNING OBJECTIVE-To know and say about different parts of a fish and
its characteristics.
DISCUSSION-
Fish live in water.
They come in different sizes, shapes and colours.
Examples- clown fish, salmon fish, tuna fish, dog fish, shark etc.
Fish have head, mouth, fins, eyes, tail, gills and scales.
All fish are vertebrates (have a backbone).
Gills help to breathe.
Fins help to swim.
Eyes help to see.
Tail helps to change the direction.
Scales are slime which helps their movement through water.
The brain of a fish is small compared to its body and as compared to the
brain of other animals.
Fish are cold blooded which means their internal body temperature
changes as the surrounding temperature changes.
Fish sometimes eat other small fish when they are
hungry.
The largest fish is the Great Whale Shark.
The smallest fish is Philippine Goby.
