                 SUB-TOPIC- Backward counting (10-1)





                 LEARNING OBJECTIVE- To be able to identify the number and count
                 backward.






                 DISCUSSION-


                    •  Sing number rhyme ‘’10 little monkeys jumping on the bed”.
                    •  Count numbers 1-10 with flash cards.
                    •  Count backward numbers 10-1.
                    •  Identify and say the backward numbers using a number line.
                    •  Activity- Make abacus sticks and draw beads to represent backward
                        numbers (10 to 1)







                 REVISION QUESTIONS (Oral)- Children will be asked questions to identify
                 backward numbers.

                    1.  Which number comes before 9?


                      2.  Which number comes before 5?


                      3.  Say the number that comes before 6?

                      4.  Which number comes before 7?


                      5.  Which number comes before 2?
