SUB TOPIC- Ss
LEARNING OBJECTIVE- To recognize the upper- and lower-case
letters ’Ss’, its sound and the formation.
DISCUSSION-
• Sound and action of the letter “Ss”.
• Identify the words related to each beginning sound.
• Students will recall the letter sound ’s’ through the story
“Sandy and Sara on Sunday “and the rhyme.
• Questions will then follow related to the story.
• Repeat the sound that you heard repeatedly in the story.
• Let’s sing the phonic rhyme together- ‘The snake is in the
grass’.
• Ask them to say the sound of the letter s with proper action.
• Ask each student to trace the letter on the chart
paper/drawing copy with proper formation. (free hand).

1. What is the beginning sound of the word ‘sun’?
2. What is the beginning sound of the word ‘snake’?
