TOPIC- Letters and phonic sounds

SUB TOPIC- Xx

LEARNING OBJECTIVE- To recognize the upper- and lower-case

letter ‘XX ‘ and sound of the letter.

DISCUSSION-

• Recapitulate the sound and the name of the sound. inform the

students that today they are going to do one interesting activity,

that is -I know letter-'x'
• Each student will hold two ice-cream sticks.

• Ask the students to paste the ice-cream sticks on the letter 'x'

written on the chart paper for each student.

• letter 'x' to be written on the floor with proper formation.

• Students will be asked questions to identify and say the
beginning sound along with its action followed by the formation

of the letter ’x’.
• Recapitulate the ‘Xx’ story to the students to bring out the

vocabulary words relating to the sound ‘Xx’.
• Turn back and write the letter on the air on index finger and ask

the students to follow.

REVISION QUESTIONS(ORAL)-

1.Can you name an instrument which begins with ’Xx’ sound?

2.Worksheet will be explained and will be done by the students

followed by questions on the ‘Xx’ letter sound such as: are you able to

complete the worksheet?

3.Can you name a fish which shares the same name as that of an x-

ray?
