                Find the solutions

               (1) If a diameter of a circle bisects each of the two chords of a circle then prove that the
                  chords are parallel.

               (2)Two equal circles intersect in P and Q. A straight line through P meets the circles in
               A and B. Prove that QA = QB










               (3) In the adjoining figure, two circles with centres at A and B, and of radii 5cm and 3cm
               touch each other internally. If the perpendicular bisector of AB meets the bigger circle in
               P and Q, find the length of PQ.














               (4)Two circles of radii 5 cm and 3 cm intersect at two points and the distance between
               their centers is 4 cm. Find the length of the common chord.
