Module-19 ,The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde

               1-Introduction:

“The Happy Prince,” by Oscar Wilde is about an initially self-
cantered Swallow, who on his hunt for shelter for the night meets
the statue of The Happy Prince, as he settled down at his feet.
Throughout the story, we notice the Swallow helping the Happy
Prince distribute his jewels and gold throughout the city, making
civilians happier and healthier, masking the true ugliness that
               resides there.

In the beginning of the story the Swallow only thought about
himself, we see him fall in a romance for the statue of the Prince.
Likewise, we know that the Prince, when he was alive, never saw
the truth of the city which he lived in, only the riches that he was
brought up with. He could see the reality of life later when he was
               only a statue.

               2-The lesson at a Glance:

 The Happy Prince was a beautiful statue of a dead prince,

decorated with gold leaves and precious stones.

 One night a little swallow took shelter between the feet of the

Happy Prince. He was on his way to Egypt.

 He noticed that the Happy Prince was crying.

 The prince was happy when he was alive. After his death they

set him high above the city from where he could see the

ugliness and all the misery of his people, of the swallow.

Every night the Prince would request the swallow to take
away one of his precious stone and give it to the needy.

 After the prince lost his sight, the swallow would narrate the
                       sufferings of people.
