We have studied how Tribal’s and Muslims have been marginalised.
Through powerless, they have fought, protested and struggled against being
excluded.
They have attempted to overcome their situation by strategies like
(A) – Religious solace
(B) – Armed struggle
(C) – Self improvement
(D) – Education
(E) – Economic upliftment
Adivasis, Dalits, Muslims, women and other marginal groups argue that
simply by being citizens of democratic country, they posses equal rights that
must be respected.
Many of them look up to the Constitution to address their concerns.
Invoking Fundamental Rights -:
The Constitution lays down principles that make our society democratic.
These are defined in the Fundamental Rights, These rights are available
to all Indians equally.
The marginalised have drawn upon the Fundamental Rights in two ways –
(I) – By insisting on their Fundamental Rights they have forced the
government to recognize the injustices done to them.
(II) – They have insisted that the government enforce these laws.
