Female reproductive system
The female reproductive system includes a pair of ovaries, apair of oviduct and uterus.
Ovary-It produces the female gamete or ovum (Egg). Every month one matured ovum
is released in to oviduct by one of the two ovaries.
Oviduct / Fallopian tube-It connects the ovary with uterus. It helps in transportation of
ovum released by ovary to uterus. It is also the site for fertilization.
Uterus- it provides nourishment to the developing embryo for its complete growth and
development. The uterus is the site in which the embryo stays for nine months and
develops in to a complete baby inside it.
