IN THE 1960s
GROWING UP IN Samoan Islands in the 1920s:
SAMOA IN THE 1920s - In 1920s, the youngsters of these Islands did not go to
school.
- When the infants began strolling on claim, they were
left under the care of their more established siblings
and sisters.
- Youngsters as old as five years cared for their more
youthful kin.
- After achieving their 9 years old, young men joined the
more established young men for open air exercises
like planting coconuts, fishing.
- Young ladies kept taking care of the more youthful
ones.
- When young ladies moved toward becoming
youngsters (14 years), they were permitted more
opportunity as they could then go for fishing and ranch
exercises or help their moms in cooking, and so froth.
GROWING UP MALE IN Madhya Pradesh in the 1960s:
MADHYA PRADESH IN - From class IV onwards, boys and girls want to
THE 1960s separate schools.
- The girls’ school had a central courtyard where they
played in seclusion and safety from the outside.
- Boy’s school did not have separate enclosures.
- The boys used the streets as a place to stand around
idling, to play, to try out tricks with their bicycles.
- The girls always went in groups because they also
carried fears of being teased or attacked.
