               EXPERIMENT: To understand the chemical change taking place when an electric
               current is passed through the dilute copper sulphate solution.

               Materials Required:

               Beaker having 500ml capacity, 9-volt battery, copper sulphate crystals, copper plate,
               iron nail and connecting wire and water.


               Observation: Students will observe that the colour of copper sulphate changes from
               blue to pale green. And a reddish brown colour coat is formed over the iron coin.




















               Inference: Chemical reaction takes place when the electric current passes through
               the copper sulphate solution.
