FATHER TO SON: ELIZABETH JENNINGS

                     Problem of generation gap is discussed when communication link is broken


                     Poem reveals an internal conflict which a father undergoes when his son grows up


                           possesses his own interests and perceptions



                     Unhappy father complains that he cannot understand his son


                     Despite having lived together in the same house for so many years


                     Instead of bonding together they have drifted apart


                     Gap has resulted in non communication and non understanding


                     If both of them will to forget and forgive their shortfalls then situation can improve


                     Respecting each other the only way to diminish the distance between them


                     Both father and the son want to forgive each other.
